Recommend a decent headset

Post by Torin » Sun Nov 21, 2010 1:30 am

So, it looks like the problems with Vent are that I need a better headset. I'd've thought a Plantronics headset would be good but I seem to be wrong. What do other folks use?

I use the earbuds that came with my old iPod, and plug them into the computer. Onn used to use a bluetooth earpiece with his laptop, but now he uses a Vent client for Droid and the wired headset that came with his phone.

That would be awesome. I can use a vent client on my G1...

So, is he using Ventriloid? That seemed to be the best that I saw in the android market.

I'm using the Mangler Android client. I also have the Ventriloid one, and it works fine, but the Mangler one has the option to keep the screen on all the time, so it's easy to hit the talk button. I keep the phone plugged in, and the screen on. I could use the phone's general option to keep the screen on, and use Ventriloid. Neither of them support bluetooth nor let me use the button on my wired headset for push to talk. Voices come through very clear, but the lag seems even greater than the regular vent client.
