I'm planning on picking up this sweetness from newegg. I've got a 1 TB SATA drive and an nVidia 8600 GTS (PCI-E) to put in it.

Anyone see any problems with this combo that I should think about?

Other than maybe upgrading the power supply (I am having a google-fart moment and can't find PSU minimum requirements for that card), looks pretty solid. Nice price.

edit: Of course I would find the requirements immediately after posting this. Minimum is 350-375, so if you don't have much else running on there, you should be A-OK.

I believe my current power supply is 400-450W. Maybe lower. It's an HP desktop that I got at best buy :)

The computer has 2 SATA drives, 1 optical drive, the video card, and maybe a tv tuner if I fit it in.

The case comes with a 500W power supply, so you should be OK.

I finally got memtest86+ to actually find the bad memory in my computer. So that's something. I guess I didn't need to buy a brand new one, but I'm not too sad about it :D I'm going to take the old one and turn it into another ubuntu server.

I need to find a place to set up Lhynne's old computer as a server. It's ready to go, just needs a home! Living in a one-bedroom apartment sucks for space for some things. Got to set this thing up, then I can dump off a bunch of data files onto it!

New computer is put together. I left it running overnight to download and install WoW. I hope it did :D It's a fine, sexy beast and has more overclocking options than I thought humanly possible.
