FIrst, for Guild Rules:
Real ID is not required for anyone. Period. Not officer, not veteran, not newbie.
If someone says 'no' to Real ID with you? Listen to them. Badgering someone for their Real ID will be considered harassment.
As a personal suggestion, I highly recommend that no one allow Real ID requests from ANYONE. There is no invisibility function. It gives your -real name-. It gives your account e-mail address-- which is a part of your log on. It is insecure, horribly unprivate, and a security risk.
It's your choice, but I would really, really, think three or four times before accepting from anyone, or even asking someone. No matter how convenient it may seem, the downsides are huge. You may not think of them so with someone you trust now... but fallouts happen, and the blow back can be big.
Now for me-- Just in case it wasn't clear, I will not be accepting Real ID requests, at all. Period. At any point. Unless substantial changes are made, this is likely to remain the case indefinitely.
